BERGAMA - A FLORAL GEOMETRIC DESIGN

Using our detailed instructions and large easy-to-read charts, this counted cross stitch needlepoint kit is designed for relaxed, enjoyable stitching. Worked in wool on a soft open fabric, cross-point™ creates a strong, fully covered surface — without stiff canvas, hoops, frames, or difficult finishing.
Inspired by the Flowers of Silk & Gold exhibit at the Textile Museum, Bergama reflects the rich floral traditions of the Ottoman Empire. Stylized tulips appear throughout the history of textiles and decorative arts — from pottery and embroidery to wall hangings and woven fabrics. Their bold, graceful form feels both historic and perfectly suited to Spring.
My interpretation of this traditional motif was created especially for pillows and table runners using the cross-point™ technique — combining the beauty of traditional needlepoint with the ease and rhythm of counted cross stitch. This floral Arts & Crafts design offers a satisfying project that is fast, fun, and easy to stitch.
